I'm Emma Cullo, a freelance writer with The Voice of Africa. My BA in Cultural Understanding gave me the foundation to see the world through multiple perspectives, and my MA in Journalism sharpened that into practical skills in interviewing, research, and storytelling. I write at the intersections of politics, culture, and data—and I believe writing is only ethical if it's accessible. Following the SPJ Code of Ethics, I aim to make complex issues clear, conversational, and fair, while never losing sight of the nuances that matter.
View Published Work →I believe the truth is discovered through conversation—by asking questions, listening deeply, and creating space for multiple voices. My work is about opening those dialogues across culture, policy, and data, so what feels disconnected can come together into a beautiful web.
